Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Psychology.  It was earned in 1993 from Washburn
University in Topeka, Kansas.

License:

Licensed Psychologist Associate.  This license is regulated by the Oregon Board of
Psychologist Examiners.

Experience:

In 1979, at Kansas State University, I began volunteer work with a suicide crisis line and
later became the coordinator of these services.  I have worked continuously since then in
a wide variety of group homes, psychiatric hospitals, and community mental health
centers.  I have coordinated Dialectical Behavior Therapy programs and have supervised
counseling and psychology students in their residencies and internships.  I have
volunteered in the community and until recently, sat on the Board of Directors for the
American Mental Health Alliance.  Currently, I maintain a private practice in the North West
part of Portland, Oregon and am accepting new clients.

    psychology independently and with full privilege.
  • I completed a 6 year post-graduate, supervised residency at Pawnee Mental Health
    Clinic in Manhattan, Kansas; St. Mary Hospital in Manhattan, Kansas; Tualatin
    Valley Mental Health & Addiction Services (LifeWorksNW) in Portland, Oregon; and
    in private practice in Portland, Oregon.
  • I have passed the written national licensing exam required of all licensed
    psychologists with scores in excess of those required by doctoral level practitioners.
  • I also exceeded the requirements of doctoral level candidates on oral and
    performance examinations which, in addition to clinical matters, included very
    important  matters related to the ethical practice of psychology.
  • Prior to licensure in Oregon, I was designated a Registered Masters Level
    Psychologist in Kansas in by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board.
  • My initial license in Oregon was granted in the year 2000.
  • My current license number is 5050 which is registered with the Oregon Board of
    Psychologist Examiners in Salem.
  • I complete 50 hours of continuing education in psychology every 2 years.
